The blood-curdlingly exciting series ‘Sihame’ returns

Sihame took gruesome revenge on the boys who spread intimate images of her. However, the battle is far from over. In the second season of the blood-curdling revenge series Sihame, directed by Fadua El Akchaoui, she tries to leave the past behind her. However, the image of ‘expose killer’ continues to haunt her. As old and new threats drive her to extremes once again, she must choose between flight or fight. Sihame will be available to stream at KRO-NCRV on NPO Start from October 16.

Season two opens with the aftermath of Sihame's revenge killings. Images of an explosion of violence in a schoolyard, in which a girl severely abuses her exposer, go viral. She turns out not to be the only one inspired by Sihame. The media and her supporters keep the image of the “expose killer” alive and further fuel the fire. The hunt is intensified by the police and the brother of her last victim. Even her family comes under scrutiny. To survive, Sihame must walk a dangerous path past corrupt cops, human trafficking, the dark web, and criminals who are out to get her. One wrong move could cost her everything.

Sihame was conceived by Achmed Akkabi as the “female counterpart” to the Mocro Maffia series and classic revenge stories, in which men are at the helm. In a society where sexual violence against women is still all too common, the series tells the revenge story of a young woman who takes back power.

The second season of Sihame is directed by Fadua El Akchaoui (Zina, Romaissa, Vakkenvullers). She also wrote the screenplay, together with Yücel Kopal and Dunya Khayame. El Akchaoui is also the creative producer of the series. Sihame is produced by Fiction Valley in co-production with KRO-NCRV.
